Opt Out

Last Updated: March 2026

At PlayBoxCentral.com, we respect your right to control how your browsing data is collected and used. This page provides clear, step-by-step instructions for opting out of the analytics and advertising technologies active on our website. For a full overview of the cookies we deploy, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Quick Summary

The table below shows every third-party tracking service used on PlayBoxCentral.com and how to disable it:

You can also manage all cookie categories at once using our on-site consent banner — click the cookie settings icon in the website footer at any time.

1. Opt Out via Our Cookie Consent Banner

The simplest way to control tracking on PlayBoxCentral.com is through the built-in cookie consent banner:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of any page and click the cookie settings icon (usually a small shield or lock symbol in the footer)
  2. The consent manager will open, displaying four cookie categories: Strictly Necessary, Functional, Analytics, and Advertising
  3. Toggle off the categories you wish to disable — for example, switch off both Analytics and Advertising to stop all third-party tracking
  4. Click Save Preferences
  5. The page will refresh and the corresponding cookies will no longer be set on future visits

Note: Strictly Necessary cookies cannot be disabled because they are required for core website functionality such as age verification and session management.

2. Opt Out of Google Analytics

Google Analytics collects anonymised data about how visitors interact with our website — including page views, session duration, and navigation paths. To prevent Google Analytics from gathering your data:

Option A: Browser Add-on (Recommended)

Google provides a free official browser extension that blocks the Google Analytics JavaScript from transmitting data:

  1. Visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  2. Download and install the add-on for your browser (available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera)
  3. Once installed, the extension automatically prevents Google Analytics from collecting your activity — on PlayBoxCentral.com and all other websites

Option B: Google Ad Personalisation Settings

  1. Go to adssettings.google.com
  2. Sign in with your Google account
  3. Toggle Ad personalisation to Off
  4. This limits the use of your data for ad targeting across Google services

3. Opt Out of Microsoft Advertising (UET)

The Microsoft Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag records when visitors arrive on our website from a Microsoft ad and tracks subsequent actions such as page views and button clicks. This helps us evaluate advertising performance. To opt out:

  1. Navigate to account.microsoft.com/privacy
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one if needed)
  3. Under Advertising preferences, disable personalised ads
  4. Under Browsing and search, clear your activity data if desired

You can also opt out of Microsoft interest-based advertising without a Microsoft account by visiting Microsoft’s advertising opt-out page.

4. Opt Out of Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity generates anonymised heatmaps and session recordings that help us understand how visitors interact with page elements — for example, which sections attract the most attention and where users encounter friction. Clarity does not capture passwords, payment details, or personally identifiable information. To opt out:

  • Use the same Microsoft Privacy Dashboard described above — disabling personalised advertising also limits Clarity data collection
  • Alternatively, disable the Advertising category in our on-site cookie consent banner, which will prevent Clarity cookies from being set

5. Opt Out via Browser Settings

You can delete existing cookies and configure your browser to block new ones. Below are direct links to the cookie management pages of the most widely used browsers:

Important: Clearing all cookies will remove your age verification and consent preferences, meaning you will need to re-confirm your age and cookie choices on your next visit.

6. Industry-Wide Opt-Out Tools

The following platforms allow you to manage interest-based advertising and analytics tracking across hundreds of participating websites simultaneously:

PlatformCoverageLink
Your Online Choices (Australia)Australian-focused opt-out for multiple ad networkswww.youronlinechoices.com.au
Network Advertising Initiative (NAI)Opt out of member ad networks globallyoptout.networkadvertising.org

7. Mobile Device Controls

If you access PlayBoxCentral.com from a smartphone or tablet, your operating system provides additional controls over ad tracking:

  • iOS (iPhone/iPad): Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable “Allow Apps to Request to Track”. Additionally, Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → disable “Personalised Ads”
  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → enable “Opt out of Ads Personalisation” (or “Delete advertising ID” on Android 12+)

What Happens After You Opt Out

Once you have opted out of non-essential cookies:

  • The website will continue to work normally — all games, pages, and features remain accessible
  • Analytics cookies will no longer track your visits, meaning your activity will not appear in our traffic reports
  • Advertising cookies will not record your interaction with our campaigns, so conversion data will not be attributed to your session
  • Functional cookies (if disabled) may cause minor convenience features — like remembering your display preferences — to stop working
  • Strictly necessary cookies will remain active to ensure age verification, security, and session integrity

Opting out is not permanent across devices. If you switch to a different browser, clear your cookies, or use a new device, you will need to repeat the opt-out process.

Your Privacy Rights Under Australian Law

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
